8Dweb Remote Hands Ticket Checklist
Version 4.6 – Effective October 01, 2021
To ensure fast and efficient service, please review the following requirements before submitting a Remote Hands ticket to noc@8dweb.co.
1️⃣ Advance Notice & Arrival Time
- Submit all tickets at least 24 hours in advance (same-day requests require written approval and may incur rush fees).
- Allow a minimum of one hour (±) for engineer arrival due to facility security and check-in procedures.
- Applicable Facilities: Equinix, Digital Realty, QTS, CoreSite, and other Tier III+ datacenters.
2️⃣ Required Ticket Information
- Facility Access: Name, location, access method (QR code, escort, etc.), contact at facility.
- Scope of Work: Clear description of all requested tasks (install, patching, testing, etc.).
- Rack & Equipment: Rack IDs, elevations, equipment models, serials, inbound shipments with tracking.
- Power Requirements: Feed type (A/B), connector type (C13/C19/L6-30), voltage, and downtime acceptance.
- Cabling: Type, length, destination ports, and labeling requirements.
- Materials & Tools: List any cables, rails, or PDUs 8Dweb should provide.
3️⃣ Time Allocation & Contact Availability
- Specify expected onsite duration (2-hour, 4-hour, or full-day block).
- Define whether engagement is fixed-time or task-based (billed hourly).
- Contact Availability: 8Dweb engineers are reachable via WhatsApp while onsite and may accept Telegram communications. All other correspondence must occur through the official ticket system (noc@8dweb.co).
4️⃣ Onsite Conditions & Limitations
- All work performed under facility rules and security policy.
- Delays from inaccurate or missing access/shipment data are billable.
- Previous vendor cabling will not be corrected unless authorized.
5️⃣ Deliverables After Completion
- Summary report of work performed within 24 hours.
- Annotated before/after photos.
- List of issues discovered or deferred.
6️⃣ Best Practices for Clients
- Provide accurate documentation and manifests at least 24 hours ahead.
- Ensure all equipment and cables are properly labeled.
- Have PDUs, power cords, and rails available onsite.
- Maintain real-time communication availability during the visit.
- Plan for 60–90 minutes of facility entry and security processing.
8Dweb Responsibilities: Engineers will arrive on time, perform the approved scope, communicate updates clearly, and document all work with photos and notes.
