CP10 & Interworx Hosting Retirement (Resolved)

  • During the month of June, 8Dweb will be retiring our CP10 hosting system and replacing it with our Plesk25.cmsdefender.com server.

    This will mark the complete retirement of Interworx as the hosting platform for general and shared hosting at 8Dweb.

    8Dweb has been building our CMSdefender hosting platform for the past 4 years. With the marked improvement of the Plesk Onyx hosting platform, we began to transition our CMSdefender managed hosting to the Plesk platform in 2017.

    Interworx has served 8Dweb well for the past 8 years, but has unfortunately not kept up-to-date with features, funcationality and security required in modern web-hosting.

    After June 30th, only customers with Sentry-Server Platforms will still utilize Interworx. Though the monthly/yearly cost for Plesk is a bit higher than Interworx, we strongly suggest that all 8Dweb customers currently utilizing Interworx on their SentryServer consider moving to a Plesk-based SentryServer. 

    After December 31st, 2018, 8Dweb will no longer offer support to Interworx based hosting platforms, asisde from general security, OS updates and server maintence.

Transition of XenServer to XCP-ng on 8D Cloud (Resolved)

  • 8Dweb will be transitioning all XenServer Cloud systems to the Open Source XCP-ng Cloud System. This will require update and reboot of each host. Some down-time of customer SentryServers may occur. Expected down-time is 5 minutes per host.

    The purpose of this is due to the continued removal of key XenServer features from the Xenserver Free Edition. XCP-ng is an open source 100% Xenserver compatible cloud infrastructure. 8Dweb will be transitioning all XenServer platforms to XCP-ng during June 2018

    08:25am - DDoS attack amplification - IAD4 drowning again... Currently CMSdefender & Email Services are affected. If you have office-in-the cloud in IAD4 that is also affected.

SMTP Mail Problem (Resolved)

  • 8Dweb is currently experiencing problems with SMTP mail on our primary hosting Cluster. This problem arose after a vendor initiated fix on Sunday, January 20th. The matter is under investigation and will be resolved as quickly as possible.

    We apologize for this problem and will update our facebook and twitter feeds when the matter has been resolved.
